VARSITY CAPS OFF SWEEP WITH 80-62 VICTORY The Varsity came through with a team victory as five players scored in double figures. They dominated Calvert Hall and were leading 72-38 at the end of three quarters. The reserves were only able to score 8 points in the final quarter and allowed 24 points to the Cardinals.
Led by Sean Mosley’s 25 points, 5 rebounds and six steals, the starters poured it on for three quarters. Anthony Oquendo had 12 points and five boards and freshman R.J. Williams added 12 points, 9 assists and 5 steals. Donald Washington was Mr. Defense again, but had an offensive outburst with 11 points and four rebounds. Rounding out the five in double figures was Wayne Sparrow, who had 11 points, all in the second quarter.
There were lots of dunks to keep the crowd entertained and one spectacular “alley-oop” from R.J. to Sean.
Congratulations also to our cheerleaders who looked sharp in their new uniforms. They were excellent as they did their cheers in precision like fashion.
