PANTHERS DEFEAT MCDONOGH 49-35
JANUARY 18TH 2008
The Panthers played one of their best games this year as they contained Gerald Sheppard and the McDonogh team in their own gym. Sean Mosley played stellar defense as Sheppard missed his first seven shots in the opening quarter and that set the tone for the game.
Besides being the defensive stopper, Mosley scored a team high 14 points and added five rebounds, three assists and four steals. Anthony “New York” Oquendo was right behind him with senior leadership as he had eleven points, five rebounds and two steals. R.J. Williams continued his surge with seven points and nine assists while running the team like a quarterback. It was good to see Greg Lewis back and he added five points and had two steals.
This was a good warmup for the “big” game tonight against Mt. St. Joe at 7 p.m. at Mt. St. Joe. Get there early and support the Panthers.
