Today, we will celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a Prayer Service. We will follow a modified Afternoon Assembly Schedule with 35 minute periods. The schedule is HR, G, H, A, B, C, D, E, F, HR, Prayer Service.
There is no school on Monday for students. It is a professional day for teachers. Exams begin on Tuesday - A, B, C period, Wednesday - D, E, F , Thursday - G & H. Friday is make up exams for emergencies only with written permission from Sr. Marcia. The gathering place before and after exams is the cafeteria. Continue to study this weekend so that you can be successful.
The 6th Annual "Dr. Martin Luther King Day of Self-Help and Service" is less then 2 weeks away, on January 21, the King Holiday. Mr. Moore and Mr. Agosti are looking for volunteers to help with the event on this national day of service. If you would like to volunteer or get more information please see Mr. Moore or Mr. Agosti in the community center office.
Anyone needing tickets to the Mayor's Basketball Tournament should see Coach Lambert or Coach Owens.
Any Sophomores interested in applying for the Elijah Cummings Youth Program in Israel should see Mrs. Missouri.
The second payment for the senior class trip is past due. Please make payment ASAP to Ms. Ward. The third payment of $80 is due Friday , January 25th.
All young ladies interested in playing either Lacrosse or Tennis this spring must
see Coach Owens by this afternoon. Even if you are currently playing
Basketball or running Track you must let us know of your intentions so
we can plan for the upcoming season.
Reminder to all baseball players that your money for your work-out gear is due by or before Wednesday January 16, 2007...See Coach Boles to give your money and sizes to.

The SGA sponsoring a Homecoming Party for the first time in many years.
This Year's Theme is SFA Homecoming 2008 "Flashing Lights" - we want to exhibit our excellence in Academics, Sports, & Student Activities.
The party will take place: Saturday, February 2, 2008 8pm - 12 am St. Cecilia Church Hall Corner Windsor Ave & Hilton St
Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance. No sales at the door. All guests of SFA students must be registered and have proper ID.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, January, 15th they may be purchased from the front office, Ms. Ward, or any SGA member.
