THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

YOUNG PANTHERS DEFEAT FREEDOM ACADEMY 118-33

Eleven wins to reach 500…….Coach Wells had an easy one last night as the Panthers rolled over a motivated, hustling Freedom Academy team.  The most tension in the game was whether Brandon Randolph would score and get his name in the book…….he did….Brandon came through on his free throws!!

Led by Sean Mosley’s 29 points, there were five other Panthers in double figures.  Donald Washington played an inspired game with twelve points and eight rebounds, and Donte Holmes had fifteen points and an all around game.  It was good to see the depth on this team because the quality of play didn’t drop off when the starters hit the bench.  They played as a team, looking for the open man and harassing their opponents on defense.

The play of the day was an alley oop pass by Ronald Williams to Sean Mosley who then jammed it home with a ferocious dunk.  That play brought the crowd to their feet.

The next game for the Panthers will be tomorrow (Wednesday) at Poly.  The next home game will be next Tuesday against McDonough with the beginning of MIAA play.  See you there!
