Rites of Passage

The phrase Rites of Passage comes from the African philosophical approach to learning “I am because we are”.  This approach connects students to the concepts of social etiquette and responsibility.  The freshman program is designed to introduce students to the details of sensitive and emotional subjects and to improve their study skills.  The sophomore program requires students to apply the previously learned skills through group interaction, field trips, and community service.  The core objective is for students to fully learn and accept the responsibility of becoming young adults/young man and young women.
