Sr. Marcia Hall, OSP
OFFICIAL ACCEPTANCE OF PRINCIPAL’S POSITION

September 23, 2005

Sr. Ricardo:
Do you accept the position as principal of St. Frances Academy?

Sr. Marcia:
I say “Yes” as a servant of God.

Sr. Marcia read the following prayer:

DEDICATION OF A SERVANT OF GOD
by Edward M. Hays

Lord God, You who know the hidden parts of my heart,
Come now and fill me with the spirit of sincerity
As I dedicate myself to You
And to service within Your Kingdom.
Lord, I desire to serve You and others
With a totality of heart, soul and strength.
I strive to live within the simplicity of the gospels,
Open and obedient to Your Voice
And chaste and whole in my loving.

Lord and Divine Friend,
I dedicate myself anew to the vows of my Baptism,
To a life of prayer and worship of You.
I recommit myself to being a servant
To the needs of those around me
And to the needs of all the world.
May I find my holiness and salvation
Here, in this place and at this time,
Where You, my God, have placed me.

Lord, I marvel that You, in Your Divine Wisdom,
Have chosen me to be Your servant
And Your instrument of creative salvation.
May my ministry, complete with failings and stumblings,
Be leaven for Your Kingdom to rise in our world.
Bless me now with Your Love,
As I strive to be Your friend and holy servant.
May I live out this dedication and commitment
In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Amen!

Sr. Ricardo:
We, the daughters of Mother Mary Lange thank you for accepting the challenge of leading St. Frances Academy at this time in its history. We pray that you will continue to be blessed as you undertake this ministry on behalf of the Oblate Sisters of Providence.

Sr. Marcia:
