During the Opening School Liturgy, SFA president Sr. John Francis Schilling, OSP announced the recipients of two scholarship initiatives for 2007-08. Fifteen students were named Cosby Scholars and four students were named Under Armour Scholars. The students are:

Angel McCoughtry (SFA 2004) is a student-athlete at the University of Louisville. She earned a basketball gold medal in the 2007 Pan Am games representing the United States of America.
